Tuesdays Are the ________ Days
I only got one (halfway) decent photo today….but that’s okay, because as it turned out, I didn’t have much time to blog anyways. If you’ve been following on the reg., you’ll recognize my mantra: Tuesdays Are The Worst Days. I was especially not looking forward to this Tuesday, due to a bit of apprehension regarding a project that would take up most my morning. Well, the project turned out to be a huge improvement over the regular bump and grind of my daily routine…..AND, an ensuing series of events cumulated that led to a little mini-promotion for yours truly. That’s right. I guess the lesson is you can never really guess what things will lead to. And also, sometimes, appearances can be deceiving. Tuesdays Are the Worst Best Days.
Shoes are Isaac Mizrahi for Target (I know, you can barely see them). City shorts are Express. Black tank is Express. Purple top is Anthropologie. All the rest of my photos came out SUPER over-exposed. But I did take snaps of my makeup (I rarely do my face, but I’m starting to more). All the photos came out super goofy (I don’t have that photogenic look for make-up shots and am not skilled enough to cover up the fact) but this blog has taught me to be fairly shameless, so- what the heck!
Makeup for beginners. Used Bare Escentials lotion and primer as base. Brushed on Bare Escentials foundation in Light. Applied bronzer and blush to cheeks (generic pharmacy brands). Lash Blast on eyes (combed vertically on top, for bottom lashes, just did a couple horizontal sweeps). Victoria’s Secret gloss on lips. Will revise later w/specific brands.
I’m open to any and all makeup advice….although part of my hesitance to go crazy is a lack of desire to coat my face in a mask and a lack of funds to spend the big dough on makeup. I’d rather reserve my funds for clothing, food projects and home decor, thank you very much.
